Too risky imo. Even with a can. He can get injured or even worse, lose. Stranger things have happened

Just get some young, slick sparring partners and have the trainers teach him to counter attack aggressively, build up his stamina, etc. Shane's an experienced fighter, he's disciplined enough to take on Mayweather anytime.

The most sensible answer would be yes given his inactivity coupled with having a whole training camp under his belt, it is high risk though, and I doubt he would do anything to jeopardise a fight with Floyd as this will be his last chance to actually get him in the ring. Floyd really has no choice but to fight him,but given the chance Floyd wouldnt have taken this fight. He had nowhere to go after the Pac debacle.

Shane should fight a tune-up, even if its a freebie

Money is tight and HBO is very reluctant to give out dates for fighters to take tune-up type fights. Shane should take a tune up against a 140 pounder but the economics will not be there for him to do so. They will take the next 4months to promote Mosley vs Mayweather. A 16 month layoff will not help Mosley. I dont know if it will hurt him, but it would be good to get in the ring and fight somebody. But the economics will dictate that he wont be able to fight anybody, especially not on HBO..
