  • Do alot of boxers taht over rely on the left hook never develop their power mechanics

    properly in their right?

Or do they just get so many knockouts with their left that tehy over rely on it?

Guys like Tua, Tommy Morrison, Gerry Cooney etc

Because I assume its the lack of piower mechanics because tehy dont have as much venom on their right hand as they do on their left. When really if they had their power mechanics down properly like say Joe Louis does, you would hit really hard with both hands.

I know the left hook is easier to learn than teh right hook or straight right, because to get any power out of such a short distance you have to get good form, and the fact the right hand has so much time to build up speed means theres lots of time to mess the technuqie up and muscle the punch, (which is why the right side is more powerful too ie the punches get more time to build up speed) also we are used to muscling things with are right dominat side so we have learnt bad motor patterns on that side already where as the left side isnt used that much so is more of a neutral base.

Surely you should know what punches are the best, im guessing you have been hit by many

LOL, The left hook can be deadly because it can be very difficult to see coming, there's very little load up time and it has the shortest distance to travel (aslong as you don't bring your arm out wide to swing it) So yes what you are saying is sort of correct, you've just worded it very poorly. . . But timing is the key to any good shot.

            Probably best if Freddie explains

Any fighter can overly rely on a punch,, doesnt just have to be a left hook....

Zab judah relies on that left counter uppercut alot,,,,

Some power punchers look for just the big right hand,,,,,

Just depends on the fighter,,,, but yes guys can get caught up overly relying on a certain punch

Can anyone tell me why he dosnt spin his foot all the way/much at all? His foot more or less stays in place rather than pivoting/spinning around alot.
