I'll order the fight - It's pretty hefty price to pay (for HD). Much like other fights - I'll have peeps come over and chip in $10 bucks a pop to defer costs (i.e., food, drinks, PPV, and other miscl overhead - lol) It works out in the end.

Schaefer is a piece of work. Of course raising the PPV cost is GBP's way of squeezing every last dime. The projections that this fight should do 75%-100% more PPV buys is where the extra profits should come from, not by exploiting a fan base. Now this leach has the nerve to downplay the PPV hike like he's in it for the fans? Thanks for only raising the price $10 dollars. Gimme a ****in break Schaefer and concentrate on making Garcia vs Mattysse on SHO.

It's not about $75 being too much, it's more about the industry taking advantage of consumers. If the fight pulls in an extra 20 million plus just by raising the price $10 like the article suggests, than the nickel n dime approach nets the "industry" huge profits by a simple price hike. What's to stop them from charging $85 next time out? If you're fine with feeding into the hands of overpaid promoters/fighters than that's okay. I for one like good entertainment value while not overpaying, there's a difference between smart money and $75 being too much.
