It's not about skill, it's literally cheating, we're not talking card counting here.
Was it Phil Ivey who picked out the cards of the casino and put them on the table to play with?

Phil was using the casinos cards not his own. Pay the man his bread. Wow

At the end of the day, if the casino is using cards with visible markings/damage so that a player is able to identify which is which - it's their fault.

I don't see how this is cheating. They had no problem when he was down
Thats the first thing I thought when I was reading it. Everything was fine when he owed them 500k.

Then when he came in on the 3rd day and fucked them up they became sore losers and withheld the cash.

This simply should not be allowed.

Can you imagine if when Phil was 500k down he refused to pay up and said the dealer was cheating as there are imperfections on the cards???

Would never be allowed in a million years.

Yet the other way around the big bad Casino can with hold the money and create a law suit.

          Bullshit!

            Very true

But unless the people watching these tapes are mind readers, which in this case I will assume they are not, then there is absolutely NO CHANCE of the proving he was cheating.

How could they possibly tell what he was thinking when he was looking at these cards when they were face down???

The only chance they have is that apparently Phil asked them to keep using the same deck. But I don't believe this as somebody of his caliber as a card player would never ask something that could sound so suspicious

Of course not but at the end of the day cheating is cheating, there's no getting around the fact he cheated he's not using any advantage, he's cheating, it's a flaw in the card design, whilst the Casino have to take some blame so should the company who made those cards and Phil Ivey too, if he's such a great gambler he wouldn't need to cheat, an honest man would have informed them, don't get me wrong, I wouldn't have but I'm not a millionaire professional poker player who has a reputation on the line.

Ivey is in the wrong here just as much as the Casino/Card Company. Have any of you played an online game? If so, you know what happens when you abuse exploits in the game to gain an advantage, you get banned/suspended/penalized for it.

Exactly what did Ivey do that's considered cheating? You moved a little early on this one broham....no evidence yet.

I'm obviously speaking under the pretense that what the Casino said is actually true, if it is Ivey cheated. Knowing what cards are in play when they're face down because you can tell by the patterns/design on the back IS cheating.
