this country was born in revolution, those founders wanted to make sure that future generations had the ability to revolt if necessary well jefferson did.

There was several isntances of English "taking over" American's houses to use as their own during the war - kiling the husband, raping the wife, killing the kids, etc. .

There were also many instances of rebels doing the same. While billeting in private households was a common act in wartime carried out by all parties the murder and rape of inhabitants was relatively rare, considered a breach of discipline and harshly punished. It was certainly not a matter of policy.

And furthermore the incidences were also perpetrated by rebels.

Let's not try and vilify the British conduct in the revolutionary war.
