Will the Casey Anthony costume be all the rage this Halloween? If the bidding frenzy over a single Casey Anthony mask on eBay is any indication, then then answer is a resounding “yes.”

The disturbingly life-like mask was part of a film shoot, and the prop was crafted by an artist that goes by the name “Torro” according to the listing, and seller “prophunter” thinks the mask is more horrifying than anything, saying, “Forget Freddy, Jason, Meyers, here’s your chance to scare the *#&% out of everyone and win every costume contest,” adding, “No matter what your opinion of the trial is, this is still one heck of a conversation piece. I bet Nancy Grace would love one of these.”

Nancy Grace may be one of the ones bidding — the current bid for the mask is over $1,000 at the time of this writing.

The auction description says the mask is one of only 9 made, and declares it to be a “significant piece of crime history” after Anthony’s widely publicized trial for the destroy of her daughter Caylee. Anthony was acquitted of all charges related to Caylee’s [rip] beyond four counts of lying to police.

So if you want to be the talk of your Halloween party this year go ahead and place a bid — but be warned, looking like Casey Anthony can have some unexpected consequences.
