N64 had a top tier of games superior to anything on playstation imo.

Mario, Zelda, Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Turok 2

Well it seems like everyone is all about Golden eye. I never played that game but I will say I liked the ps2 better then N64. Nintendo only had specific games like Mario and others, but the ps2 had a larger variety of choices which i liked. Need for speed, Tomb raider, Gran turismo, Final Fantasy just to name a few. PS2 all the way and now the ps3 is even better then any other system out giving you Pooray as well as a gaming system.

Hard to compare, Playstation had over a 1000 games, N64 had 240 released in the US. I still maintain that N64 best 20 were better than PSX' s best 20 but you can't overlook the fact that the PSX had so many titles.

quality over quantity baby.. who the **** is gonna play 1000 games.. i was a video game head back then and i probably only played about 20 games... N64 def takes the cake.. my favorites were Super Mario 64, Zelda : Ocarina of Time , Goldeneye, and WCW NWO Revenge

i liked the metal gear solid game for PS but those games are probably some of the best games ever made

I owned a PS1, so I might be a little biased.

But N64 had a lot of great games. Golden Eye, Mario Kart, and Ocarina of Time were classics. And the WWF and WCW games were better than the ones on PS1.

Have to go with PS1 though. Way too many classics to name and I still play a few of those games to this day. Just downloaded Resident Evil 3 a few months back.
