  • Roach and Canelo.

Would these two be a good fit? Maybe Roach could turn Canelo into an aggressive counter-puncher.

Roach and Canelo would be a great fit.

Everybody knows Canelo's the one in charge in his traing camp. He takes breaks and trains whenever he wants. That wouldn't be the case if he was with Roach. Roach would be fully in charge and he would make Canelo train to the fullest, no shortcuts.

There's a reason why Roach's fighters are always in tremendous shape.

      He'd improve Canelo's stamina.

Maybe he'd teach Canelo how to cut off the ring as well.

Canelo needs someone like Roach or Nacho. His current trainers are trash. how the fuk did they come in against Mayweather with the game plan they had lmao

Not bad, but seeing as he's a great combination puncher and can counterpunch well I think Nacho would suit him perfectly. Roach is still great doe.

Yea no doubt, Canelo's stamina would improve big time with Roach. Roach would bring in strength and conditioning coach Gavin MacMillan too.

He'd also tell Canelo to stop fighting at the stupid 155 catchweight and just fight at the full 160 already. Making 155 isn't helping Canelo's stamina at all.

That would be sick. Absolutely sick. I would love to see that.

Roach isn't a hardass at all though. He can barely even yell, considering his sickness. Roach is a good trainer, but I don't think he is great. He has had many great talents he didn't teach the right way of going about things, or hell even forced. Thats what great trainers do.

I think he completely failed Linares, and went about the complete wrong strategy for his fights. He tries to make everyone fight like Manny Pacquiao. Make them depend on using long aggressive combos, even when they have great feet and hand speed like Linares. He did not play to Linares strengths at all! That is why Roach is a poor trainer. He just happened to find Pacquiao who fit his style of fighting perfectly.

Not everyone has Pacs workrate, and not everyone needs to. Yet he made everyone fight like Pac.

But when you so painfully, and obviously fail your fighters, you cannot be a great coach.
