All you can bring up is a irrelevant ishida fight where he didn't have his best trainer. and didn't get the same treatment as Marquez when he got an 8 count. after 3 knockdowns. but the same ref screws Kirkland when he pops back up? he wasn't even hurt he just kept getting caught of balance hardly a legitimate knockdown.
Kirkland lost fair and square to ishida, it was embarrassing, but if you are a fan of his I suggest you accept it and move on.

Honestly, every fighter has his critics, 99.9 percent of posters on nsb and most forums in general is a keyboard warrior, biased as **** and loves chatting ****.?

    You like James Kirkland?

Fine, you do you. Don't waste your time trying to convince people on here of anything, everyone on here knows everything already

Yeah, bringing up other boxers out of nowhere makes you insecure. Do tell....

Kirklands chin is hugely under rated, like him. He is the second coming of Chavez. I even heard the military have named bullet proof glass after him due to it's resilience which is similar to his chin.

Kirkland is good to watch, but lets put it in perspective, he's aggressive but has a shaky chin and a low IQ. Americans hate Khan, but really, they are damn similar just a different style in the ring, but they both cant really back up the style they want too

i'll always tune in to watch Kirkland knock someone out or get himself humbled again

They call Kirkland a bum and a fraud yet Kirkland goes to the baddest and toughest Mexican in the divisions home turf. and takes Angulo out who was pretty much the baddest man in the division at the time and it was only months after he made the dumb move of getting rid of Anne Wolfe and losing to ishida when his coach at the time tried to make him into a boxer. luckily he switched back to the woman that brings out the best in him. Then Molina beat Cintron yet Alvarez fights cintron while Kirkland fights the winner Molina when Alvarez is champ. How does that work.

That's 2 of the 3(Lara the other) the most ducked fighters in the division. While Alvarez when he fights this natural Jr WW will make it 4 straight fights against washed up and/or irrelevant fighters while he's champion. Not to mention Kirkland always brings it Ans will trade with ANYBODY. Its a damn shame he's been screwed by boxing politics and will be on the shelf for a long period of time. Hopefully he keeps Wolfe through all of this.
If anything hes overrated. Hes a B class fighter, nothing more. Yeah hes exciting to watch sometimes and I will watch all his fights, but he is far from special. It was just a matter of time for people to realize that Alfredo Angulo wasnt anything special either and thats by far his biggest win. Other than that win, Kirkland hasnt showed me anything for me to think hes underrated or a special fighter. Hes just a good, not great, exciting fighter that sometimes has pop in his fists and sometimes he puts on a good show. His trainer Ann Wolfe wouldnt be anything special either if it wasnt for the fact that she cusses alot so she gets alot of exposure.

LOL @ Angulo being called a bum after getting destroyed by Kirkland.Ppl on here overlooked Kirkland as easy meat for Angulo after the Ishida fight. Then he beat him in his own game style (brawler) now Angulos a total bum.Overrated? yes,but not a complete bum.Kirkland has huge flaws and the fans know this i think that's why he's less appreciated. But even so he hasn't done much CONSISTENTLY to be held at a high standard of appreciation, never the less what's pending in his career now.
