  • How to get max range on the rear cross punch?

Like for when you are up against someone thats really good at judging your arm length and punch distance and stands just outside what he thinks is your max range tantalizingly close but just out of range.

Or someone that uses the lean back defense against punches.

How can you get extra range on your cross/max range on your cross to catch these two out?

(ive seen guys get knocked out because they judged distance so well but then the other guy leans forward gets an extra foot of range and KO's the guy lol or because they lean back and the other guy leans forward and gets him in that leaned back position lol, thing is theres a particular way to "lean" forward where you dont loose much power or defense, but I dont know how to do it )

    footwork.
    be that much closer.
small, powerful, quick step in with the cross. aim to punch past, not just tap.

you can do 2 things.. turn that (cross) shoulder into your punch, turning your hips into it will help your shoulder turning into the punch & slightly lean forward w your upper body before or when you throw it, but pull back right away after you throw your cross. dont lean forward too often bc it becomes predictable nd your oponent can start telegraphing it. reach w it, when you need to
