***UPDATE***
Apparently Wlad had been training on a "spongy" type surface for his bout against Fury! Wow.
Around 2:00 in you can hear him talking about it and the advantages of training on it, "the floors are nice and spongy" caught red handed.
Fury and his team discovered 3 layers of foam used as ring's floor, their feet literally sunk in making it hard to move. After 2 hour talks with Wlad and his team they agreed to remove 1 layer. Fury said it was was still soft in certain areas despite the removal.
If Wlad had trained on this surface it would greatly work towards his advantage. Wlad has ALWAYS had trouble with guys that can move such as Jennings, Ibragimov, Haye etc. he just can't land his full power shots against them, Fury is one of those fighters and proved it yet again.
Wlad needs an immobile target, one that he can gradually break down by grabbing, pushing, pulling, wrestling.
This is not the 1st time Wlad has used that type of floor, he used it against Kubrat Pulev, who is also a very mobile HW that uses his footwork.
You can literally see Pulev's foot sink into the ring 1:00 in:

Is this illegal? If it's not, it should be, it can clearly give 1 fighter an advantage that's used to it and Wlad has fought on it before as evidenced in the first video. The flooring he used in his fights with Jennings and Povetkin (which Wlad didn't have home advantage) were much firmer, he looked like shit in those fights.
Carl Frampton also had trouble with a soft canvas when he struggled mightily with Gonzales, he tells you how it affected him:
