Right...and if I recall correctly sonnen took that opportunity to challenge bones jones since henderson was also injured and jones was free to headline. But jones ran to dana white asking him to call off sonnen and accepting the belfort fight instead. Only then did silva offer to fight to save the card. Otherwise silva had no intention of fighting at 205.

Anderson is 37, he's a natural Middleweight and Jones is a natural heavyweight. I don't care to see this fight.

Anyone who knows anything about mma knows how this fight is gonna go. Jones wouldn't dare stand with Anderson. He'll just spam him with take downs and ground and pound him. If Jones doesn't win by tko, he'll win by a 5 round boring fight of which 24/25 mins will be spent on the ground.

anderson said years ago that he won't fight for the 205 belt. because it's for machida to own.

jon is the 205 belt holder.

he fights jon, he takes belt.

machida would then have to fight anderson for the belt.

        see the issue?

the point of the fight is that Silva wants to get rid of the last fight on his current contract with UFC. And since he's taking this fight on short notice he doesn't want to waste time cutting weight so thats why he's fighting at 205.

After this contract is up, Silva is due for a HUGE payday especially considering his next fight is gonna be against GSP which will easily be the biggest ppv buy in UFC history.

Silva vs GSP when GSP beats Condt, even when being out of the game for a long time.

Jones is a wrestler and doesn't feel comfortable fighting someone that he can't take down.

                      1. This isnt boxing rtard. the weight classes are separated by 15-20 pounds. not 5 like boxing.

                      2. He trains with Rafael Cavalcante, Lil Nog and Machida. Their camp is like family they will never fight.

Though Anderson probably has the best shot at knocking jones out on the feet the reach advantage and size disadvantage are still ridiculous like it was said jones is a natural heavyweight silva a natural middleweight. So crappin on a guy who wont fight somebody 30-40 pounds bigger then him on fight night with reach and size then calling him a coward just makes you another rtard just bleed guy.

Why do people continue to forget this is a short notice fight against the best option available at light heavyweight. Bonnar is on a 4-5 fight winning streak.
