  • AIBA approved competition headguards.

    Hi Everyone,

I'm going into my first amateur bout in two weeks, and have been looking around for a competition headguard. Problem is, most of the AIBA approved headguards are out of my price range. I can only find three: Adidas, Everlast and Top Ten. I eventually want to own a pair of either brand (preferrably Top Ten) but for the moment I'm searching for an alternative suitable for a domestic Australian (NSW specifically) bout. After looking around I've found out that BAI (Boxing Australia Inc.) approved headguards can be used, but I've no idea which headguards are BAI approved.

I'm looking for something in the $50-80 AUD price range, but can go higher if really necessary. If anyone can point me in the direction of particular brands that they know of being BAI approved that'd be great. If not, maybe some USA Boxing brands and then I can try to check myself if I can use them.

    Thanks,
    mongrel
