Strikeouts came back to bite us in the ass, yet we still almost tied the game. Moss' shot was so close.

Reds hang on after almost blowing it in the 9th.

Man Lincecum finished the year with a over 5 ERA, he probably only has a couple more good seasons left in him.

The former heir apparent. Huge collapse the past two seasons, he appears to be headed down the path of a modern-day Denny McLain.

He is a free agent after next season I think. Will be interesting to see what happens with that

It's bound to happen. Verlander is probably the best pitcher in baseball since Roger Clemens in his prime. He's better than Randy Johnson imo. Tigers have a very good staff and what's even scarier is JV isn't even the top strikeout pitcher on this team. That goes to Max Scherzer, who woulda easily topped Verlander for the most strikeouts in baseball had he not got bumped from two starts. Good luck, but as we saw in yesterdays game, the A's just aren't experienced yet(errors and misplays!) and the Tigers are a really good team that are jelling. No shame in losing to the eventual world series champions though=)
