  • Abraham-Farias, Stieglitz-Weber. SemiOFFICIAL RBR and discussion thread.

Tonight german/armenian Arthur Abraham makes his longawaited comeback following his dissapointing venture in the supersix tournament.

Word out of the germans camp has long been that Abraham wanted to go back to middleweight where he was a long time champion. Weightproblems forced him to make a move to 168 and the s6.

Latest news from the german is that the weightproblems persist, so that Abraham will continue his campaign at 168 instead. Arthur has even boldly claimed that he'll be world champion before 2012 is over.

In the co-main event russo/german Robert Stieglitz is making his 5th defense of the WBO SMW title against german Henry Weber who on paper looks slightly overmatched.

Stieglitz has a fight scheduled with danish star Mikkel Kessler in April which was postponed from November due to the oft injured dane suffering a broken finger in training. Stieglitz wanted to remain active hence this fight that should be fairly easy work for the german, not wanna risk his big payday against the dane.

Transmission on german ARD and danish TV2sport on 22.45 CET.

Sprott appears to be running out of steam and Pulev is taking over and, according to the german live-ticker, has won rounds 6 and 7.

So Sprott quits in the ninth round with a shoulder injury. The official verdict is a TKO win for Pulev who's undefeated in 15 fights.

The liveticker has it as a dominating perfomance from Stieglitz, but also says he is quite predictable and open for right hand counters.
