He was rated at 9 but someone convinced me that Langford was more properly rated at Middleweight then at Welter so it dropped Monzon a slot:

      01. Ray Robinson
      02. Bob Fitzsimmons
      03. Sam Langford
      04. Marvin Hagler
      05. Stanley Ketchel
      06. Bernard Hopkins
      07. Charley Burley
      08. Harry Greb
      09. Jake LaMotta
      10. Carlos Monzon

There have been a ton of legitimate ATG Middleweights over the years: Along with Welter it's easily the deepest division historically in boxing. That's a LOT of great fighters competing for those top-10 spots.

I'm curious as to why Greb is so low.

Anyways I easily rate Whitaker over Monzon p4p. Monzon's title run came at the right time. Other than Rodrigo Valdez everyone else he fought was either too small, too washed up, or simply not that good to begin with (like Bennie Briscoe, who prolly deserved to beat Monzon the first time around). In some cases 2 of the 3 applied.

Whitaker's competition was far more difficult. It's not remotely close.
