How come prime Tito Trinidad and Shane Mosley never fought?

They both weighed 147 and 154 in a relatively close enough time period, so how come that fight never happened? Especially since Oscar fought both Tito and Shane?

The week after Tito and Hoya fought. That was Mosley's debut at WW against Wilfredo Rivera. Tito moved up to 154 after that. Mosley did call out Tito after the Taylor fight I believe. But he also showed Tito respect and said "Tito is chasing history at MW"

After the second Hoys fight. He chose the wrong oppenent in Winky Wright as a tuneup to Tito.

That is very true, and he did show respect to Tito. And, Tito at the time was looking at Joppy and Hopking as a step closer to fighting Roy Jones. And, this was when Roy Jones was muttha****ing Roy Jones.

I miss Tito... He wasn't about no bull**** he just wanted to fight the best.
