He's too worried about breaking his contract with Goossen-Tutor Promotions and it might all blow up in his face if Julio César Chávez, Jr. signs with Al Haymon and moves to Showtime.

After that Andre Ward will only have a Carl Froch rematch to look at, an Arthur Abraham rematch to look at or move up to fight Sergey Kovalev or Jürgen Brähmer for one of their belts.

Andre Ward really needs to get it together, fire his team and sign with Al Haymon. Just stick it out with Goossen-Tutor who already promote an Al Haymon client in Chris Arreola. Just fight on ESPN and get the exposure, right now Andre Ward is just wasting his career away for no reason and losing a lot of money because of it.

Ward is to busy fighting courtroom battles before he gets in the ring. Will be lucky if he fights this year.

Ward is bugging me.....seriously I used to think this guy would go all the way to Crusierweight and dominate....and here he is stuck at 168 still at 30.

Because in his mind he has arrived, and for whatever reason, he thinks that means he can sit back and cherry pick for money until he retires. Greatness, legacy, etc clearly isn't his goal. Winning the Super Six and becoming a name was enough for him. Only problem is his name isn't big, and no one is going to fight a guy who offers low money, high risk.

Which would be true if he was raking in big money for his fights but he is not. He is not making Mayweather or Pac money, he is not even making Canelo or Tim Bradley money. He is on the wrong side of 30 and really hasn't had that windfall payday. He made $2 million for his last fight. He hasn't headlined a PPV and is injury prone. Like someone else said, this guy is really wasting his prime earning years. I get he has the representation issues but he still needs to be active while that's being worked out.
