but I am wierd like that because I only watched the first Matrix and the first Lord of the Rings, the sequel were not interesting

Brilliant graphics, but crap story line and way too agenda driven for me.

it's just putting the movie into perspective.. movie tickets didn't cost what they do now back then. I agree with 2501, there were less forms of entertainment back then. regardless, I wouldn't consider Avatar the most popular of all time.. I wouldn't place it amongst the best either.

but then you would also have to take into consideration, back then there wasn't much to do as there is now. Technology back then? What technology? By technology you know what I'm mean, bootlegging etc
