From what i saw last night no way does Khan vs Brook do 80,000

18,000 people were in the venue, and it was totally dead when Brook made his walk to the ring, in contrast when Big Joshua came in the crowd erupted

When Khans name was mentioned post fight, no one gave a shart.

Brook and Khan cud do around maybe 25,000 if they are lucky

    Its not Groves vs Froch

What's the reason Brook isn't popular in the UK? The area he's from or because he isn't an Olympic Medalist?

He's a champion in the hottest division in boxing.

I think it has a lot to do with him fighting mainly in Sheffield, he doesnt really have a "character" like former stablemate and mentor Prince Naseem

Also Porter wasnt a big name, so it really didnt do nought for Brooks profile

Brits love the big guys, easy to sell a nice chap like Anthony Joshua, with the Olympic Gold Medalist background and eye catching knockouts

Those options are there but he's not taking them. Khan's last two opponents were much tougher then Brook's, people comparing Brook and Khan performances off the last two fights seems a little silly to me afraid.
It's worth mentioning that Kell has been pencilled in to fight on August for quite sometime. Maidana is overweight, Alexander hasn't fought in 7 months and Garcia is just entering the 147 pound division - its likely that he will take a tune up fight to settle into the division. Algieri, on the other hand, would be taking a risk. 3 losses on the spin and you've pretty much achieved journeyman status. I doubt Kell would get much credit even if he beat Algieri tbh. As we know ,Thurman is fighting in July, so that leaves Brandon Rios/Andre Berto which is the best of his current list of options.

I'm not comparing their last two opponents. We all know Kell wanted to fight Khan, only for Khan to cherry pick Chris Algieri.

At the end of the day it's hard to argue against that decision, it makes sense for Khan to push for a big high class fight now win/lose Brook is always plan b, but won't work the other way. Business wise it makes the most sense, Brook sees Khan as his big fight and win/lose Brook will still have many fights left to redeem himself, so both just looking out for their best interests, atm it just clashes but they will most likely fight in the future when it makes more business sense for both parties, mostly for AK.

Wankie Bruno just got a job working for Amir's dad's taxi company. He's been sucking off Khan for weeks now.

Khan-Brook would have easily done Wembley with the right promotion.

Absolutely. If the roles were reversed Brook would be playing his hand similar to Khan is playing his. Maybe some more clever **** talking, but beyond that about the same deal. Rightly or wrongly this is how boxing works. Khan hedges & Brook calls out Khan & many others. If Brook gets to a position that Khan is in he'll be hedging & people will be calling him out.

No amount of promotion will help Brook vs Khan do 80,000

Froch vs Groves only did that because of what happened in the first fight

Last night people were walking out while Kell Brook and Gavin were fighting, they are discussing it on boxingvoice and twitter.

People came to see Jousha.....not Brook

Khan is known in the UK, and even with his name and brand, they'd struggle to do 80,000

Hmm. That's interesting. In what round were they walking out?

British fans will turn out in their droves for an all UK grudge match at that level.

Just another excuse for why your new loverboy won't take the fight.
