I say ISIS everybody I know says the same and so does the media why does Obama call it ISIL?

his 15 minute talk didn't move me one bit and I'm sure it didn't scare isis at all

ISIS = islamic state iraq syria

ISIL = islamic state iraq levant

levant is the region between asia minor and egypt

syria, palestine, israel, jordan, etc.

IS doesn't go by ISIS/ISIL anymore.

but also remember they write/speak in arabic not english. so any acronym based on english words ain't too accurate.

Obama has been doing everything conservatives want, bombing the living **** out of ISIL, getting a coalition of countries to help, and giving arms to the opposition and it's still not good enough.

Obama can't win, nothing he does will ever get support from the right. On Fauxnews last night they were killing him on this speech and basically said with a straight face mind you, that Iraq and Afghanistan are all his fault....lol

All this while Chaney gets a standing ovation at some ******, right wing convention. Chaney, Bush and Rumsfeld should be locked the fuk up.

intel on isis threat came months ago. he waited til he had no choice.

ihe didn't start bombing them til last month AFTER they already conquered large parts of iraq.

if us struck sooner maybe the iraqi army could have stopped them.

with usaf bombing support they would have fought harder against isis.

Pretty much everything that deals with Ammo I do, including building rockets, working on missiles(although nobody ever has aircraft we can shoot them at), and often times supplying deployed Navy Seals with whatever they need. We're like a one stop shop man.

The crisis in Ukraine was provoked by US and German sponsorship of a right-wing coup backed by fascist forces and the rise of Islamic extremism in Syria and Iraq are a direct result of American Imperialism! The success of ISIS and other Islamic extremist groups in Syria and Iraq is very much a product of American foreign policy in the Middle East.

Assad has traditionally been a close ally of both Iran and Russia and it was only a year ago that Obama was trying to bomb Syria for the alleged chemical weapons attack which of course has since been debunked. But of course, ISIS is the new excuse. Keep those war drums pounding.

US diplomatic cables published by WikiLeaks revealed that between 2006 and 2010, the State Department provided $6 million to an Islamic group, the Movement for Justice and Development (MJD) set up by Syrian exiles in London. The money was used by the MJD to fund their satellite news operation, Barada TV, as well as activities inside Syria.

A diplomatic cable from December of 2006 laid out the State Department***8217;s plans for antagonizing the Assad regime and destabilizing Syria that included promoting former Syrian Vice President Abdul Halim Khaddam and his National Salvation Front.

With the onset of hostilities in Syria in 2011, the CIA began a major gunrunning and military training operation under the guise of providing non-lethal aid to the so-called moderates in the Free Syrian Army (FSA).

The covert CIA operation involved Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Turkey purchasing weapons which have then been funneled across the Turkish border into northern Syria and distributed by intermediaries including the Syrian Muslim Brotherhood. Weapons caches are known to have been smuggled into Syria from Libya, Croatia, and Sudan.
This intervention of the CIA has flooded Syria with automatic rifles, rocket-propelled grenades and millions of rounds of ammunition, as well as antitank and antiaircraft missiles.
