  • New York Now Only State Where MMA is Not Legal

    http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1...m_campaign=mma

WTF New York, what's the holdup? I don't know how or why New York continues to turn their back on all this UFC revenue. Boxing is still legal there. So, let me get this straight. It's okay to fight someone, as long as you're just punching him? I mean, the Unified Rules don't allow kicks and stomps to downed opponents, so there's no reason for New York to continue to hold out. I'm mad at my home state right now.

this is about how much money the UFC are willing to kickback to them from every UFC event held in NY. they expect boxing level money and the UFC doesn't make boxing level money. essentially they want UFC to make a loss for the right to have events in NY. it's tragic but **** bending over for them.

So then New York asking for so much money they're at a loss is what, their way of trying to discourage UFC owners from holding an event there? Because they won't and shouldn't give up on this. If not, then why would they ask for so much money? Do they not understand that this would put the UFC at a loss for an event or do they just not care? I take it then, the UFC will have to wait until they're asked for less of a kickback in the future or for them to start making more money so they can afford the kickback without it resulting in a loss?

I've actually got no clue what I am talking about, just seemed like you were trying too hard to revive the MMA section

I just turn on quote notifications for sherdog and ignore 95% of the posts

actually pretty much every discipline of MMA is legal in new York except for MMA itself, lol. boxing, kickboxing, muay thai, judo, bjj, karate..... are all legal. So you're allowed to kick and punch a guy in the face just as long as its not in an mma match. that's insanely ridiculous.

wouldn't be surprised if my BS theory was true either. NY is no less bloodthirsty than anywhere else. They have Madison Square Garden ffs, the amount of brain damage that place is responsible for......

yes its the 'Las Vegas Culinary Union' that is funding protests in New York and putting money in NY Politician pockets. All because Station Casinos(fertitta owned) don't have a Union. lol how fuked up is that?

They even have a website dedicated to bashing the UFC. Those guys are wackos.
