Seems to me he definitely has the credentials.

Admittedly, the Hall of Fame is watered down, and I believe VERY GOOD

I'm not looking at his record right now, but I did see Pintor fight many times. IMO he was good enough to be in the HOF. Lupe would be a hard nights work for any bantamweight.

Pintor is a tuff choice to make for the HoF! Other than a SD win over Zarate' he lost when he stepped up!! I enjoyed his fights for the most part but he also got stopped quite a few times. I don't look at the hall as a stop for ATG's its more of an appreciation for outstanding efforts throughout a long career!
Someone who came to the ring in great shape and was ready to win!
Becoming Famous because of efforts and being a fan favorite is what the HoF is about its not the AoG!!! (greatness) Ray.

That was a shocking decision. Two of the judges had it for Lupe by one point, but the other one had Zarate by about 12. Watching the fight live it seemed impossible that Zarate didn't win more rounds. This fight actually changed boxing history as it caused Zarate to make a premature retirement.
