  • For those picking Floyd Mayweather at 130...maybe.

I think Mayweather beats Arguello, Arguello beats Chavez, but I'm not sure about Mayweather beating Chavez (or Camacho).

Camacho Sr. would give Mayweather hell.

He loses to both Duran and Whitaker, and probably Mayweather (at least the one who got more adapted to the weight). He'd have his hands full with other lightweights like Ortiz, Chavez, and Buchanan as well.

His size advantage does help, though.

        • - Roy Jones from the Montell Griffith rematch

          - The comebacking version of Vitali after the 4 year layoff (there's no such thing as a prime Vitali)

          - prime Tyson

              • No fighter has ever come close to that standard, nor will they ever. That's the great thing about boxing. It doesn't take that much force to put a man's light's out, even if the man in question has got a chin like Toney, Hagler or Chuvalo. A fighter can take his chances and throw a big shot and catch a guy, even if they have excellent defence. Nobody is immune to that. To give an example - look at a fighter like say Whitaker. His head movement is fantastic and all, but against a guy like that, just take your chances and guess where his head will be and you might put him away in one punch when his head moves into it. Nobody is unbeatable.

Also, the responses of this thread have been predictable. Tyson, Roy Jones. Goes to show how many people we have who don't know their boxing that well on this forum. Jones is somewhat understandable, though with the way he fought he'd be much more vulnerable to the 'lucky punch' than say a Floyd Mayweather type fighter. Tyson however - forget it. He never fought anyone good enough to prove it in his mythical prime. A good fighter, but extremely overrated.
