Whether they are good fights or not is down to personal opinion.

My point is that these kind of fighters wouldn't be featured so prominently if HBO weren't a little desperate.

The Barker vs Geale fight is easy to see why HBO bought it. Belt on the line and HBO owns the MW Division. They need opponents that fans recognize for Sergio,GGG, and maybe Chavez. GGG gets Stevens and then probably Barker/Murray type. Sergio might get Geale then....
