Take away Berto's knockdowns how many rounds did you give Berto? Ortiz outworked Berto for most of the fight and was dominating many rounds. It was a good action-packed fight but Ortiz was the clear winner.

I think Berto underestimated Ortiz though and didn't take him all that seriously and he paid the price. Would love to see a rematch.

He was dominated, Victor was on 1 that night and they had a perfect gameplan and he followed it most of the fight. He even had his typical Ortiz moment there and Berto couldn't quite capitalize on it. I was pretty impressed with Berto's durability tho, I think it's his most underrated quality...he almost pulled that **** off, one more punch. Credit to the ref for letting it go tho. it's a weird trade-off with him because his stamina isn't great but he can get knocked down and get up right away. he's been rocked plenty of times but always weathers it

everything was working against Berto that night imo. Ortiz having to fight for his career and the fact that he already has his issues with southpaws, guys who can fight inside, and who throw short hooks. vic isn't great inside, but he can take angles and his hooks are some of the shortest in the game...that, along with vic's attitude was his undoing most of the fight

Because ortiz DID dominate him, from the 6th round on all berto did was hug and clinch. Berto completely ruined an epic classic fight in the making.

Easy because he did...Laying on the ropes taking punishment does mean you was in the fight...It was not a close fight..Just because Berto floored Ortiz most believe it was..But if ya watch closely this fight was not close and very one sided in Ortiz favor...

Funny how a simple change of skin tone can do this to someone.

ortiz and berto deserve each other both have winning skills but inside there losers.

ortiz won that fight from the 6 round on it was just berto trying to survive.

i think berto is in the same situation ortiz was in with lopez and im confident berto will come up short just like ortiz did.
