GGG will only split the difference and fight Ward at 164 which is what is usually done when two fighters are in different weight classes. So Ward won't go to 164 and GGG won't go to 168. They can't agree on a weight to fight at so the fight won't ever happen. GGG is no more a coward for not going to 168 than Ward is a coward for not going to 164. The fact that GGG was willing to fight Chavez and Froch at 168 is irrelevant because Ward is twice as good as them and everybody knows it. Meanwhile Ward has lots of good 168 pounders he can fight and GGG is trying to unify 160. Fans need to quit acting like GGG is the only fight for Ward and it must happen. It will never happen and there are lots of good fights for Ward at 168 or 175 if he can't make 168 comfortably. There is no real reason for GGG to fight Ward. Ward is not a big money fight and GGG has no desire to move to 168 since he is a small middleweight. GGG has always made it clear his desire is to unify and rule the middleweights. A win over Ward would do nothing for him at 160.
An excellent, completely logical post. Unfortunately when it comes to Ward fans, this would be the movie equivalent... your post and Golovkin fans are represented by Gamora, the lovely green lady. Her final line says it all. Drax would be the typical Ward fan.

GGG wouldn't need tune ups at 168 because he was willing to fight Froch or JCC jr there.

right, difference is GGG said hed fight ANYONE at 168 and never mentioned tune ups, ward is saying he will move up to fight the top guy but wants tune ups, its not like he said hed fight ANYONE and then changed his tune when called out on it. im a fan of all of them either way it goes tho

I don't know what a win over Ward would do for GGG at 160, but in the sport of boxing it would make him the #1 p4p fighter. (First I want to see if the winner of Cotto Canelo will be willing fight him though and I'll bet he is thinking the same.)

              Here u go,

ward said anyone from 168-175 3 years ago, then when kova called him out he backed out like a biitch. also keep in mind ward fought at 178 in Olympics. AND comes in 185 at fight night in the Pros.Ward already fought Smith at LHw, so why is he ducking Kovalev?

Its the 15th paragraph, ward said anyone from 168-175

Here are three occasions where Kovalev/team called ward out,

So WARDOS, you guys remember GGG's 154-168 but chose to forget andreA COward's 168-175 + He said he will be HW champ by age 32

And now Ward just had 1 of his 3 tune-ups at LHW but still wont mention Kova.

So wheres the part where he mentioned Kovalev? Also Ward had been inactive the last 2 years so he hasnt been able to acclimate to 175 yet. So 2 year lay off and a couple tune up fights before you fight the biggest threat in boxing outside of ggg. Not bad

On the other hand ggg fights 3-4 times a year and his team had been specifically mentioning Ward.

r u blind? Its inside this link, Its the 15th paragraph, ward said anyone from 168-175 including Kovalev, because Kovalev was still the man back then or at least 1 of the top men.

This is the same as GGG's 154-168, come on man, didnt u read my comment at all?

Whose fault is it that ward chose to sit on his for 2 years, GGG's?

U idiot, all GGG's team is doing is answering the questions, show me 1 interview where they mentioned ward without the interviewer asking them specifically about ward?
