also since all this controversy , i looked up his jokes from last year.

he talked crap about the golden globes and the president of the hollywood foreign press too.

pretty much the same stuff EXCEPT last year he made fun of himself more and the actors less.

all this is because them lame hollywood actors just don't like to get made fun of.

i wouldn't be surprised if the golden globes people were in on it.

1. all the controversy got everyone talking about the golden globes.

2. controversy got everyone talking about ricky.

3. ricky wasn't planning on hosting again anyway.

4. all the golden globes has to do is say they don't support what ricky said and when ricky doesn't come back next year all the crybaby hollywood actors think their whining worked.

5. golden globes doesn't care about controversy. they're always controversial because everyone thinks they nominate/award the most famous to get them to attend the awards.

hell people think golden globe gets bribed anyway. all the gervais talk actually drowned out all the talk about how they got bribed to nominate cher's movie and angelina/depp movie.

love ricky gervais, but he did indeed cross the line & was very unprofessional the way he conducted the show.

I had no problem whatsoever with the jokes he made, but the fact that he continued with the insults throughout the night. I could understand going heavy on the opening monologue, & maybe a couple more sprinkled throughout the night,

but the whole entire night? to insult every single presenter & more?

i definitely understand why a lot of people were upset.

BUT.......so many other comedians just try to be offensive and insulting because its lazy and easy. Hugh Heffner's old **** jokes.....poor. But funny.

Gervais is more intelligent than that. He could have mixed it up a bit instead of just doing the same ***** so many other comics do.
