  • If DLH Struggled with an Old Whitaker...

How could anyone expect him to beat a prime Mayweather?

  • #2
Well maybe Pernell is better than PBF? And maybe Pernell wasnt past it? And maybe PBF might even be better at 34. Things arent as straighfforward as that.

If Mayweather struggled with Castillo, how can anyone expect him to beat DLH?

You can do this **** a hundred ways, SIN.

And a veteran, tricky and still solid Whitaker might have been a tougher opponent for a young DLH than a 154lb Floyd is for a still-young but more experienced DLH. And Whitaker had a better chin and likely more power than Floyd. And Whitaker was at a weight he was comfotable with.

Sin are you trying to compare Pea to Floyd? that's ridiculous.

Whitaker = All time Great easily.

Floyd = Nowhere near all time great.

If Pernell wasn't past it, why did he lose every single fight following the DLH fight and retire about a year or two later? You think that would happen to a legend in his prime? I don't know if Mayweather is better than Whitaker, but he certainly isn't worse...

Castillo fights nothing like DLH unless DLH became a face-first brawler overnight. Whitaker's style is very, very similar to Floyd's except for the southpaw stance...

Whether they admit it or not,I think a lot of people are just betting with their hearts.

Thing is, Floyd is better now than he was back then, (not to mention he is not injured) and Oscar is worse than was when he faced Whitaker.

And Floyd right now is much better than Whitaker in 97, what Runs W/Knives said is ridiculous.

Are you questioning the fact that Whitaker is an all time great?

Or are you questioning the fact that Floyd hasn't fought anyone?

imo floyd fights oscar in the same way he fought baldomir which is hit and run, if he mans up and fights in the pocket he gets ko'd because oscar hits a lot harder than chop chop does, oscars a beter finnisher too. pbf wins though in a landslide UD.
