Magomed Abdusalamov (18-1, 18KOs) suffered a stroke while in the hospital, Sampson Boxing vice president Nathan Lewkowicz told BoxingScene.com via text message on Tuesday.
"We didn't want to say anything," Lewkowicz said, "but someone spoke to (New York Post writer) George Willis, so I might as well confirm it."
Lewkowicz also told BoxingScene.com that a machine is keeping the fighter alive.
