Predictably, you talk badly about supposed western "propaganda" against the North Korean government, and then turn right around and use a documentary that consists of nothing but propaganda (which was funded by a propagandist/communist news network, no less) as 'proof" of your point.
People suffering and dying is a fact of life. I don't see this as any different than any of the other 1000 current atrocities going on in the world. Giving an alternate reality and view point isn't disrespectful. It's meant to point out how ridiculous it is to take what an American website says about one of America's current enemies as 100% fact without questioning it.

I'm sure if we read some Iraqi or Iranian newspapers they wouldn't have a lot of nice things to say about the U.S. either, by posting a sympathetic documentary it's me saying "Hey, you know people lie and aren't always truthful when they're talking about their enemies. Why don't you do some research from unbiased 3rd parties before you make up your mind"

I never stated that suffering and dying weren't a part of life, nor did I downplay the atrocities being committed in other parts of the world. However, this particular thread is about reports of cannibalism coming out of North Korea as a result of a massive famine.

Let's stick to the topic, please.

Giving an alternate reality and view point isn't disrespectful.
It is when said "alternate reality" comes in the form of a propagandist video from a widely known propagandist "news network" which looks favorably on fellow communist regimes and is known to portray them in a positive light.

It's meant to point out how ridiculous it is to take what an American website says about one of America's current enemies as 100% fact without questioning it.
No, it's meant to create controversy. Like all of your canned responses are - Whether it's about President Obama being a "bum ass food stamp President", North Korea being a utopia of happiness, or Antonio Margarito being innocent of loading his gloves.

I'm sure if we read some Iraqi or Iranian newspapers they wouldn't have a lot of nice things to say about the U.S. either
Probably not. But this isn't the first time we've heard these claims of North Korean cannibalism, either.

by posting a sympathetic documentary it's me saying "Hey, you know people lie and aren't always truthful when they're talking about their enemies. Why don't you do some research from unbiased 3rd parties before you make up your mind"
No, it's more like you saying : "Hey, there's a great opportunity for me to play the role of a contrarian ****."

@ Attempting to claim that RT news is an "unbiased 3rd party" when even noted Russian diplomats have proclaimed it to be "the best Russian propaganda machine targeted at the outside world" and journalists of integrity everywhere have lambasted it for being sympathetic to oppressive communist regimes.

You're not fooling anybody but yourself.

Russian Today is a respected news network and they have my utmost respect. They're far superior than any yank news network. I'm not surprised at the lack of respect they get by Americans. Al Jazeera is deemed as an extremist terrorist sympathizing news network by Americans aswell. While the rest of the civilized world respects them, their news coverage and amazing journalism.

I stand behind my views on the bum president and Margarito's innocence. North Korea however I don't know the current situation and I'm not easily indoctrinated by western propaganda. I haven't done enough research on the matter.... like most people in this thread whose knowledge of North Korea and their shortcomings consist of FOXNEWs and MSNBC news articles they find on google.

We've heard Obama is a Marxist communist 10000 times are we to assume it's true because we've heard it more than once? do his accusers have an agenda? Probably ,but the people reporting on North Korea don't right? we should take it as fact

I never claimed they were an unbiased 3rd party. I did say giving two biased views could inspire someone to seek out the truth which is more likely somewhere in between. Which is better then coming into this thread like a Liberal sponge willing to soak up any and all propaganda that's thrown at them. I love being able to inform myself while provoking thought and hunger for knowledge.

If I have to paint myself as cunt for people to seek the truth then that's what I'll do.. because I'm the hero that Boxingscene deserves but not the one it needs right now, and so they'll hunt me because I can take it, because i'm not a hero.. I'm a silent guardian, a watchful protector a Brown Knight.

I had hoped to have an honest and forthcoming discussion about this particular topic with you (which is why I knowingly took the bait in the first place), but the bolded bits prove to me that you're completely incapable of providing me with such a discussion, because doing so would first require you to set aside your contrived bull**** internet pseudopersonna - Something you clearly have no intentions of doing anytime soon.

              Carry on.

It is very difficult to get accurate information on N. Korea.

                      This may be true.

It is difficult to confirm, also.

I would err on the side of cynicism though, regarding the state of affairs in N. Korea.

So, in other words, I would say it is sufficiently likely that this report is true.

But, the sources need to be scrutinized, also.
