i hope obama is smart enough not to get involved.
The small, and I repeat small U.S. build up is in the event we are asked(with help from the international community)to enforce a No-Fly Zone. It is nothing more than that. I like how Pres. Obama has been handling the Libya crisis so far. I have no complants what so ever on his handling of the situation.

really? with a very public military buildup of 100-150k men?

and imposing deadline on iraq? with threats of military action against iraq?

yeah they were denying going into iraq beforehand.

4k is not enough to invade libya.

DONT speak for Soldiers if you aren't one. And judging by that statement you made, I highly doubt you are one.

Not only that Tua my homie, but there is not enough being done in Libya to and not enough international backing to go into Libya. To do so would be constituted as a "Act of War/Aggression". And this administration does not want to do such. Pres. Obama is not a cowboy, he's a thinker.

Iraq had a lot of planning and time, and still they denied a war was going to happen until it did. It takes longer than days to go in a place, or a lot fo lives are lost. I wouldn't be surprised if the US went in.

4K is plenty to take key Libyan targets and cities. Not invade it of course.

They do not have much in terms of land weapons.

4k is 1/4 the size of the los angeles police dept.

there is no reason to go into libya right now.

if there is a case to go in......they'll buildup more than 4k men.

4k can easily take down a major city, and Libya only has few key places you need. Already half of the country is taken by normal people, 4k trained US troops could take Caddafi himself anyday IMO.

However, I agree that 4k is risky.

1500 are Marines, and we know marines are the first to go in.

and why would the us do that?

those 4k are there for precautionary measures.

4k is not enough for any sort of invasion.

u.s. deployed more than that for grenada and panama. much smaller countries and much smaller militaries.

I am not saying they will go in now, but they could go in.

it'll take an international mandate. it'll take a while and a lot more bloodshed.

a lot more. something so horrible that the international community will demand it. (and no the 1,000-3,000 deaths so far is not enough)

this will end through some kind of deal with qaddafi.

he'll get some kind of immunity , a country will offer him and his cronies safe haven where they can take all the millions/billions he's stolen.
