  • If Pac and May retired today, who would get banned?

If the two biggest names in boxing bowed out, who would step up as the prime sellers?

    GGG?

    Ward?

    Marquez?

    Wlad?

    Cotto?

GGG and Canelo. For sure. They will take on anyone, have the skills to stay on top and THEY ARE POPULAR. The most important factor in being the face of the sport.

I could definitely see that. Really hope they fight each other some day.

GGG is too old and not good enough.

GGG,he's still got enough fuel in the tank to carry the sport for a few years, and he's already got a decent following. Canelo maybe,if he can reinvent himself. Marquez and wlad are on their way out, cottos got too much tread on the tires, and ward still needs to come back and actually fight someone, before he's considered a fighter again.

              Stop trolling or drinking.

Since when has GGG taken on anybody.

If Canelo was poised to take over his numbers would show it.
              His PPV did Baldomir/Mayweather numbers.

GGG has a nice chance but he's not in his 20s... I'm sure he's going to have another hot year or 2 and his magic will wear out just because of his age.

If GGG was in his mid, later 20s, he would easily be the front runner.

At this point, I still think boxing is in dire need of a new face. The problem is lack of charisma and drive that makes a fighter turn into a Fraud Jr. or Pacquiao.

Fraud Jr. has the villain angle. Pacquiao has the drive and hunger that most American fighters these days lose just after getting their first big paycheck or take their first loss.

We need more of the old school.

GGG can't survive outside of his MW ghost town.

A 32 y/o fighter that pulls back with his hands down isn't taking over anything.

                  Ward is consiedered a fighter...
Only a fool would suggest otherwise.
