Was there ever an investigation on Maidana's first glove pair with no padding?

They were being passed around because people wanted to see for themselves why that pair had so little padding. They were deemed not safe to use because someone took out the padding.

By the time the commissioner got a hold of those gloves they probably looked worn and used.

If they really lacked padding like you say an investigation would have been made.

These posters do not care if a fighter removes padding and wears plaster of paris with brace knuckle gloves as long as he is fighting Floyd...so no point in even talking to these guys..they said the knee he threw and the tackle was ok....they HATE FLOYD PERIOD

Most of these guys have never stepped foot in a ring, let alone owned a pair of boxing gloves. Casuals are imbeciles when it comes to this. They let their emotions take over rather than sympathizing with someone who was about to fight a guy with no padding in his gloves.

Lmao the padding wasn't removed, it was probably just the creasing that gave the appearance of the gloves being used prior to their inspection. I don't think used gloves are approved.

If there was really no padding an investigation would have been made.

The first pair of gloves team Maidana intended to use in the Mayweather fight were DECLINED by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. They seemingly had the majority of the padding ripped out. This is grounds for an investigation in my opinion, but was one ever conducted? Serious consequences could have been met if team Maidana did intend to use gloves with no padding in them. Have they done something like this before?

Nah they just paid Chino an extra mil or so to shut up.

It's because they were out of the packaging why they weren't approved by the commission. Nothing to do with the padding. When Mayweather's team were given a brand new pair of the same style glove still in the packaging they still had the same grievances but the commission approved them.

Some of your emotionally invested casuals can't seem to get it through your heads that Maidana tried to cheat and got busted for it. He really did get off easy though, you should be happy about that.
