  • Do you consider the Coen Brothers ATG's at this point???

30 years of strong films. Their resume is impeccable, especially for their era of filmmakers.

    Blood Simple
    Raising Arizona
    Miller's Crossing
    Barton Fink
    The Hudsucker Proxy
    Fargo
    The Big Lebowski
    O Brother, Where Art Thou?
    The Man Who Wasn't There
    Intolerable Cruelty
    The Ladykillers
    No Country For Old Men
    Burn After Reading
    A Serious Man
    True Grit
    Inside Llewyn Davis

Yes. A few classics, plenty of great/good films over the last 30 years

No. They've had some good one's, but they're overrated.

Probably my favorite current directors. Love their movies.

They've had some disappointments....The Hudsucker Proxy, Intolerable Cruelty, The Ladykillers....which were just alright.

But they've got like 3-4 classics arguably.

          Raising Arizona
          Fargo
          The Big Lebowski
          No Country For Old Men

You could make arguments for all of those.

          I love their movie's too.

Out of the best current relevant directors not named Martin Scorsese, I think they're the best. And I love guys like Tarantino, Fincher, Russell, PT Anderson. But the Coen Brothers are great.

You and the goddamn movie threads.

By the way, I don't take back what I said about Rudy. In fact, not only is it overrated, but it flat out sucks!

I've had some time off lately, been chilling and watching some movies again.

Rudy is overrated as hell. I hate that movie, I'm sorry, haha.

I loved Raising Arizona growing up. NCFOM, The Big Lebowski and Fargo are definitely classics.

Never seen True Grit, is it any good?

Easily. Great directors although some of their movies have been really dumb flops, like A simple Man. Completely pointless and had a ******ed ending. No Country for Old Men and Fargo were ATG's though.

I liked it, better than the original, which may not be saying much. Personally enjoyed Jeff Bridges performance.
