  • Is american boxing at its lowest point in the history of the sport?

They have ward and Spence and that's literally it.

Ward is going to get banjod into retirement by kovalev, after that, HBO will start dickriding Spence to the max and try push him as the next may weather but nobody is buying that.

Their amateur system is a joke so nobody is coming through anymore, 99% of their prospects end up being busts.

They haven't had a heavyweight champ in almost 20 years and that doesn't look like changing anytime soon

I honestly don't think american boxing has ever sucked so bad.

Well, depends what you mean by "American"?
If people are willing to suck in their pride and accept the mexican-americans, then I would say that they are doing pretty good.
Plenty of great-looking prospects like Frankie Gomez along with legitimate true talent like Mikey Garcia.
But americans generally don't back them, which I would think they would do considering they seem so desperate.

It was probably at its lowest point in the '70s when guys like Joe Frazier were fighting for HW titles

Thankfully in the global era, only the best American boxers are able to survive, so the bums are exposed

Crawford might end up being "decent"

That one Charlotte twin is "OK"

              The other Charlotte sucks

Thurman is from Trinidad and Tobago or something and sucks

              Wilder...... Just lol.

Waiting for the usual "our HW's are in NFL and NBA" & "we don't care about boxing anymore" (Americans have a habit of not caring about sports they aren't the best at, coincided with Lennox Lewis destroying all their HW's)

                Lennox Lewis killed American boxing.

It's looking pretty bad, that can't be argued. There are a few prospects that can maybe become decent draws but hard to think of even one that has star potential.
