    So I noticed there were many variations of round kick.

    Some spin you around if you miss with them. Thats the one I mean. You use your hips to rotate the leg around, a bit like a right hook but with your right leg instead.

    Does the weight transfer from the rear foot to thr front foot when you throw a right roundhouse kick? Or is there no weight transfer like there is with the boxing punch?

    Roundhouse kicks are counterbalanced where the upper body moves behind the non kicking leg in order to counterbalance the extended kicking leg. That is the only way the kicking leg can be made to stay in the air. If the weight was transfered the kicking leg would be pinned to the ground and you would not be able to kick with it.
