people on either side of that war were mostly interested in routing for a guy with whom they identified, and not a boxing match. that's the nature of casual fans. that's what they're here for.


true boxing fans didn't think that way, though. that kind of disqualifies you from being a real fan, if you ask me. some guys preferred either floyd or manny, but they appreciated and respected both.

This is nothing new in boxing and in this site. People can't even distinguish between Floyd fans and JMM fans when Marquez put Pacman to sleep. Floyd fans until now still get confused who put the Pacman to sleep, JMM or Floyd. It's remarkable!
