Jab's thread gave me this idea

      So:

      Oscar De La Hoya
      Julio Caesar Chavez
      Wladimir Klitschko
      Floyd Mayweather Jr
      James Toney
      Bernard Hopkins
      Vitali Klitschko
      Lennox Lewis

I put some names in there that should hopefully get some good debate going.
      ODH - (A)
      JCC - (A-)
      Wlad - (C)
      Mayweather - (B)
      Toney - (B+)
      Hopkins - (B)
      Vitali - (C+)
      Lennox Lewis - (A-)

you give james toney a c,but have the nerve to give frazier an a+ lmao.this is why its impossible to take certain posters serious when talking about old fighters

the same frazier who beat ali, knocked him down, gave him his hardest fights, and only decisively lost to the best puncher in the greatest era of heavyweights? i don't see how he doesn't deserve at least an A.

          Oscar De La Hoya b-
          Julio Caesar Chavez a+
          Wladimir Klitschko b-
          Floyd Mayweather Jr b+
          James Toney a-
          Bernard Hopkins a-
          Vitali Klitschko b-
          Lennox Lewis a+

these grades are in the context of their eras. i'm not measuring them against ali or robinson. if that were the case they'd obviously be lower.

floyd and wladimir have plenty of time left to get As. imo they will.

Just curious how you can rate Hopkins of Floyds resume higher than Oscar? A C is pretty low considering all the top fighters he's fought, no?

i agree with your grades except oscar whom i think along with toney deserve a+

ken norton also beat ali and gave him tough fights.just cause youve had a tough fight with a great fighter doesnt make your resume atg.james to ney fought absolutely evrybody except hopkins.he was 1 of the great resumes in modern boxing.fraziers resume does not compare to james in any shape form or fashion

Floyd doesn't deserve a C imo, some of you let your bias get in the way of it, he has fought a lot of good fighters.

I can't stand Floyd, but he is a solid B+ with room to move up. Jmo.
