Tremendously talented boxer in the middle of his prime. Be nice to see him finally move up and fight someone like Kovalev or Stevenson.

Pretty much. They either want him to quit or move up in weight now.

Wasnt Ward supposed to move up in weight after winning the Super Six?

Oh well. He has Dirrell to fight or Degale.

Maybe a rematch with Abraham while we are it. Froch also?

Why? Who said that? He should have fought Bute next in all honesty. Ward vs Dirrell/DeGale is a good fight. And obviously Golovkin. No rush for him to move up.

WTF is there left for him at 168? He already thoroughly beat the other two top SMW by far in Kessler, and Froch.

Groves, DeFAIL, Dirrell brothers, etc. are just tuneups for him

If he's not willing to move up to 175 to fight Stevenson, Kovalev, Bieterbiev, etc. than he might as well retire - as long as he's financially secure for life - whch I don't see how he couldn't be.

Or after GGG cleans house at 160 and moves to 168...

So either GGG at 168, or move to 175. Anythng else is pontess , waste of time, and money.

He'll be back eventually. He obviously really wanted Chavez and Froch II but he's not getting those anytime soon. His trainer said he wants 1-2 tune ups when he does return. Probably just a matter of HBO approving an opponent. Not sure who is available though.

It's too bad Ward refused to fight Bute when he was ranked #2 at 168. Would have been seen as a great win for him. He just needs to get in the ring, DeGale, Groves, anyone will do.
