This thread being case in point having already pointed out what a horrible comparison it is on about 9 different levels.

Kessler and Calzaghe only dicked around fighting nobodies for 40 fights before they fought someone of the same caliber as themselves.

Just by entering the Super 6 he's taken 10x the risk Calzaghe did in his entire career.

Back to the point of the thread though - the reason this thread is amusing is because Ward will do exactly what TS in demanding he do and he will do it within 12-18 months time at which point he will move on to ripping Andre Ward for something else. Most likely just posting headbutt videos since he would be out of opponents to demand.

Ward's career has been managed brilliantly and at every step of the way they've been told they were doing it wrong - yet proved they knew what they were doing better than anyone who was being critical.

First people said he was being brought along way too slow -- Wrong
Said the S6 was too soon and especially the favorite Kessler in 1st fight -- Wrong
Said Bute was a scrub and he should beat Froch to prove something - Ward was right
Dawson would be too big - too schooled - too left handed for Ward -- Wrong - followed by revisionist excuses!

Now they are just being smart - Ward knows JCC Jr. is the biggest money and easiest fight and doesn't want to play himself out of the sweepstakes by jumping to 175 now.

Likewise GGG will end up offering $$ for a fight at 168 on par or better than any at 175.

Plus clearly - unless you're a moron and intentionally ignore it - Kovalev and Stevenson are on a collision course to unify the 175 belts. There is nothing there for Ward, nor any reason for him to butt into that right now.

It only makes sense for him to sit back and let those two men unify the titles - because Stevenson and Kovalev are a lot like Ward in that they aren't afraid of anyone (regardless of whatever insane thoughts you have about Ward)

When the times comes the winner of Stevenson/Kovalev vs. Andre Ward will be one of the easiest big fights ever made in boxing.
Exactly man, he’s one of the most accomplished fighters right now in his prime, and people don’t like it. When he cleans out 175 people will start saying he’s hype because he won’t go to heavyweight.

most boxers move up and down in weight to make the big fights. SOG is content fighting Edwin Rodriguez in Ontario CA of all places.

If he's not going to rematch Froch or fight Stieglitz, it makes sense for Andre to move up to 175. My guess is he's waiting for Chavez Jr.
