The cherrypickers got picked apart
This is simply not true. He fought Pacquiao because it financially smarter to. Margarito loses to Paul Williams, gets one win vs Cotto then got knocked out by Mosley. His stock wasn't high enough.

No, Kev is right. Margarito stock was just as high as Pac or even higher at that time. The Mosley fight wouldn't have happened. So that had nothing to do with it. Oscar said I will fight the winner banking that it would have been Cotto. Possibly a much easier stylistic match up. When he saw how monsterish Margarito looked he cherry picked a LW who only had one F'ing fight at 135. He ducked Margarito to fight what plenty considered a joke of a fight and a mismatch in Oscar favor. People were talking down on that fight. People saw a Margarito fight as legit. And, Margarito stock was very high at this time. He just had a 500k PPV with Cotto also BTW.

If that was a 15 rounder, he would have beat him.
Paul Williams offered 4mil to Margarito for a rematch after Marg beat Cotto. 4mil a career high payday. So Margarito could avenge his loss. Margarito said thanks but no thanks and went on to fight Mosley for half of that. Yes he did duck a P-Will rematch.
