    [PLEASE HELP] Does "The White Man Keep The Black Man Down"?

    Serious question.

    Is this just some nonsense that became an excuse for hardship, or misuse of opportunity?

    Does it speak to real-world oppression?

    Is it just an absurdity, a cop-out, straight jibberish?

    Or is it rooted in fact, that as a black man, you are born disadvantageous in society?

      It's an honest question though. I've just heard it so many times on tv, but I wonder if it's reality or not.

      As a latino, I always blame our/my lack of successes and opportunities on race, though I am joking half the time I do it, but as a minority, racism is very real to me. I won't ever say that I didn't make it as far as others did because of stricly race, but I have dealt with racism before, so has my family, so have my people.

        Look, you got trailer park white boys who look down on blacks for some twisted reason.

        One of my best friends in Tokyo is a high school dropout, making 8 figures a year and on of the top traders at Bank of America Merrill lynch.

        I know some quants guys (African). Making 8 figures a year too.

        Institutional racism destroys cultures, as it was intended to do so.

            It is the opposite. Blacks in the US are given unfair advantages based on their race. Not that it matters because they throw it back in the white and jewish man's faces anyway.
