Sky is a hell of a lot better off with Hearn having a monopoly than someone like Warren. Hearn is actually capable of helping the sport grow, increasing his fighters profiles and turning them into marketable commodities. He understands that it's a new era and the importance of social media and all that bollocks.

hearn will be the next big dog in boxing promotions , well he already is here in the UK but he will eventually get his claws into a lot of what goes on in the US , al haymon is slowly destroying boxing over there and once mayweather finally retires the US fans will be looking for a messiah to reignite the fight game , haymon will need someone like hearn or there will be no decent fights , PPV will die !!

Look at the sort of opponents Warren's fighters face in their first 10-15 fights then compare that to Hearn's. Hearn managed to get Lee Purdy, Paul Smith and Gavin Rees shots at a world title. He gives his boxers what they want, whether they're going to win or not.
Hearn puts on much better cards than Warren, no question. Warren constantly announces a card full of competitive fights then the opponents begin to drop out only to be replaced by journeymen. Hearn invented the Prizefighter format too.
Consider that before Hearn, it was completely dominated by Warren. He signed more boxers than what he known to do with which lead to a lot of 'em fighting once a year. The chasm between Warren & Hearn and the rest of the promoters in Britain is huge.
