  • Klitschko's Have The Longest Prime of Any HW Champ in History

Not only are they the most dominant champions, but in terms of prime, they have had the longest prime. When you talk about Ali for example, you cant bring up the Henry Cooper destruction and smelling salt/cheating incident, because that was preprime. You can't bring up Frazier or Norton 1 because that was after a lay off and often called post prime. You cant bring up any fight after the age of 33 for Ali (unless he won convincingly...then it counts) because he was suffering from Parkinsons...

A guy like Tyson had a 6 month prime.

    Bowe? 1 day prime.

Joe Louis? who knows, 37-42 ish...the amount of bums Louis fought who knows what people consider prime Louis.

Vitali Klitschko is 40 years old, about to fight a 1 loss, top 5 ranked HW, with multiple distractions in his 3rd year fighting after an almost 4year injury related lay off...but if he loses you better believe it he was prime.

Wlad? Fighting his 12th fight in 12 months gassed in his early 20's against Purritty...doesnt matter, he was prime then, he's prime now too 13 years later.

Based on sheer longevity of their primes if you dont have these two in your top 10 HW's of all time, you dont know boxing. Never have there been HW's who have been considered prime this long.

**** the prime ****...... i believe they should have a term called "prime for prime" it's used so much.. fact is every version of you IS YOU..PRIME EXAMPLE OF THIS IS THE ONE & ONLY MJ with the Wizards.. ofcourse that wasn't him at his peak.. but the fact he was 40 yrs old competing gainst peeps half his age & still a top 20 impact player.. sure he was no longer the number one guy.. but he showed that at any AGE you still got the skills.. the fact that we use this term so often almost makes it seem like another guy is fighting under your name while you get to preserve only the best times & discount the worst times as if they don't count on your rap sheet.. it's all you at the end of the day & the record books prove that you were there.. so you had better make it count each time you go out there.. whether you're 50 & overweight or 20 yrs old coming out of the amateurs... prime should be another word for excuse as in the endgame... that's what it is.. with that being said Klitschko's NEVER HAVE to look for the excuses that they weren't physically & mentally prepared for a fight as they've fought 103 times ALL in shape.. they take care of there bodies.. they're always in 'prime' shape. I don't see a dropoff from a 20 yr old Vitali to a a fortysomething Vitali.. results in the ring EXACTLY the same. PRIME FOR PRIME sounds good on paper But at the end of the day you're held acccountable for your ENTIRE body of work... good times.. bad times.... it's all times.... kapish!

Oh & Mj is so far greater than anyone else that even if we were literally going to use his 2 WIZArds yrs against him... he'd still be the best ever.. but since his numbers are the best even when his wizards yrs are included.. doesn't even come into play as the totality of his play is still untouched inc. the non prime years. He knew he could still go out there & still keep his standing without anyone STATING he's NOT the best ever if the Wizard yrs are included.. it's 13.3% of his 15 yr career & it was Mike at about 2/3 of his best.. at age 39-40 & still ONLY 10-15 PLAYERS in the entire league playing at his level or higher all around in the NBA.. if anything him playing at that level at that advanced age showed why he'll never be touched.. we can say Michael was the best 20 yr old player.. best 30 yr old player & best 40 yr old basketball player of alltime & actually mean it.. so as you see Mj doesn't NEED the excuse of prime.. he brung it always & treated his time on the court as time that's being recorded.
