Rahman was there to be hit. I do agree Wlad has a great jab, but I would like to see how effective it is against Povetkin or Haye.

Haye and Povetkin are both small heavyweights that are susceptible to jabs and right hands. They're both tailor made for Wlad.

Briggs KO'd Mercer with an illegal rabbit punch. That fight was in 2005.

Wlad destroyed Mercer in 6 rounds in 2002. It was one of the most brutal beatings I have ever seen. Mercer was destroyed, his face was ripped open and covered with blood, there was blood all over the ring.

Wlad's KO win over Mercer in 2002 was waaay more impressive than Briggs rabbit punch KO in 2005.

The reason he opened up on Thompson was because Thompson was tall, aggressive and landing shots so Wladimir couldnt just sit back comfortably like he normally does. He needs more opponents like that, he shouldnt get used to fighting so comfortably.
