    It suppresses appetite. 100 calories of protein makes you feel fuller than 100 calories of fat or carbohydrates. This has been chemically proven.

    So for weight control protein is good.

    Studies have shown that a high protein diet has been more effective for weight loss than a high fibre diet.

    It is well known protein is needed for muscle growth.

    Carbs and water are essential for brain function. Protein also helps concentration.

    Fats are important for hormone levels.

    But many protein rich foods include some carbs and fats.

    Try to make vegetables a big source for your carbs. Other carbohydrates in moderation are ok.

    Bernard Hopkins has porridge in the morning. Pasta when he is training . Salads. Some meat e.g. Organic buffalo meat and organic deer meat.

    For meat-eaters chicken and fish are Super Foods.
