Would alcohol be classed as a drug if it was discovered now?

Well? Would alcohol be classed on par with high level rated drugs? With alcohol you have variety, with different drinks, giving you different effects or hits (should I say).

Alcohol is much worse than Cocaine and many others IMO. Alcohol not only physically damages you but makes you do silly things and do things out of character (like other drugs). Alcohol I believe kills more than any other drug.

Alcohol is usually used in conjunction with other drugs. Any substance taken out of moderation and improperly becomes toxic to your body.
