you act like these points mean anything...i dont know who pissed in your cereal this morning...all i said was Davis was gonna have a bounce back game and would probably take it out on the Blazers...which we both know he probably will

and for the record, we're gonna win a title before you guys do...and we're not winning for a while
LOL im not calling you out personally, but **** the Lakers lol. Whole heart. Okay, I'm gonna assume you'll have more, then me so I'll give ya all if Lake show wins, if Pot city wins I'll get the equivalent.

Jerry West - Drafted by the Lakers
Elgin Baylor - Drafted by the Lakers
Wilt Chamberlain - Traded for him
Kareem Abdul Jabbar - Trade for him
Magic Johnson - Drafted by the Lakers
James Worthy - Drafted by the Lakers
Shaquille O'Neal - Yes acquired him in FA
Kobe Bryant - Drafted by the Lakers
Pau Gasol - Traded for him

So the major major pieces that brought titles to the Lakers were by and large either drafted by the Lakers or acquired in trades. Only Shaq is the major Laker that was acquired through FA.
Kareem was only because the Bucks knew they coudn't resign him, same with Wilt. So don't take full credit. Pau, I will give credit for though. Baylor I forgot, West i don't rate anymore.

      • I will still always stand behind my Blazers tho, and hate on your Lake show. Forever.

We won what.....21 games last year??? We have nowhere to go but up hopefully.

I just want to see decent play from Kobe so he can go out on a decent note, but also so he can help the young guys mature and learn. I hope Randle plays as well throughout the year as he did in the pre season, and hopefully Russell ends up remotely like Harden. Harden struggled greatly his first intro into the NBA, but turned out to be amazing. I just want to see some growth from Russell throughout the year. Hopefully some consistent play from Clarkson and building upon last year.

Hibbert hopefully will help on D, Lou Williams will do his 6th man thing, and Brandon Bass provide some veteran leadership.

If Byron Scott doesn't win at least 10-15 more games this year, I'd fire him tbh. He has 2 Top 10 lottery picks healthy and ready to go, one of which looks pretty alright so far, Kobe coming back, and Clarkson in his 2nd year now. And some OK additions with Hibbert, Bass, and Lou. There's enough talent there to win 30-35 games hopefully at least.
To his defence, free agency in the NBA has only been going on for less than 30 years. Google Tom Chambers. I believe he was the 1st player to even sign a contract as a FA. So all the points about the Lakers not using the free agency route prior to 88(I think is the year) is kind of useless.

Since then, they got the biggest fish in the lake with Shaq. They traded, not drafted Kobe. They got rid of Shaq, put the team on Kobe's shoulders and after a few mediocre years they traded for Gasol. Don't forget the failure that was Dwight Howard. The nightmare bull**** block move by Stern with cp3. Truthfully, I don't know which draft pick the lakers have hit on. Bynum could've been one but he went coocoo. They gave up Gasol for big bro but other than that they haven't drafted well at all.
