By the next month, Ivan Calderon ends his longest inactivity in the career. At 34, Ivan says that he's concerned that the door for the big fights is closing. About is huge forehead injury, he said he is fine. He sparred already, received headbutts and has no problem. However, he plans to win the first rounds of the fight to be ahead in the cards in case if the injury opens again.

His next fight will be on Cotto/Clottey undercard against the filipino Rodel Mayol (25-3 19 K0)
